“When We See Us” Exhibition

-The dialogue series curated by Afrinova Director, Keabetswe Boccomino makes the diverse perspectives of the Black and African diaspora in Switzerland visible. Artworks and themes from the “When We See Us” exhibition are used to look beyond conventional notions of culture and identity.

Through the engaging sessions, we explore the power of storytelling through design, the function of art as community practice, and the role of diasporic networks for care and advocacy.

Guest hosts Cherry-Ann Morgan, Kwaku Dapaah Opoku and, Marilyn Umurungi offer rich insights into the complexities of our shared community histories, identities, and knowledge.
We invite the public to directly connect and exchange with the multifaceted social contexts where black culture has, and continues to thrive and shape our society's collective experience.
